QA Engineer (QC / Quality)

Company Overview

Our client is a leading organisation specialised in developing Semiconductor machines. They are currently seeking for a QA Engineer (QC) to join their team.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all QA and QC functions to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards
Coordinate and ensure timely response and closure of Corrective Action Reports (CARs) to resolve quality issues
Review, update, and improve QA/QC processes, systems, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that beyond basic compliance requirements
Lead efforts to improve quality across the supply chain through supplier quality audits, qualification, and re-certification
Support supply chain development by managing vendor quality and conducting site assessments
Lead and guide a small team of Incoming Quality Control (IQC) personnel in daily inspection operations
Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI), parts inspection, and vendor qualification processes to ensure product conformity
Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve supplier quality and enforce quality standards
Monitor and drive continuous improvement of vendor performance to maintain high-quality supply chain standards

Required competencies and certifications

Degree, Diploma, or Nitec in Mechanical, Production, or Mechatronics Engineering
1 to 5 years of QA/QC experience in equipment manufacturing or high mix–low volume production environments.
Proficient in metrology tools and techniques, including Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height & Depth Gauge, Profile Projector, Gauge Block, and Smart Scope
Skilled in problem-solving methodologies such as 8D discipline and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively within teams
