Senior Account Executive

Responsibilities

· Handle full set of accounts for a portfolio of clients, independently or with support from assistants;

· Manage month-end closing processes for a portfolio of companies;

· Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packages;

· Perform outsourced finance functions including AP processing, payroll, bookkeeping and accounting;

· Prepare consolidation of group accounts from simple to complex structures;

· Prepare financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS);

· Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST filings and other local reporting obligations;

· Act as key point of contact for clients, responding to queries and providing timely accounting and financial support;

· Manage client deliverables and ensure deadlines are met within agreed timelines;

· Review work performed by junior team members and provide guidance and supervision where required;

· Assist in financial management services and advisory engagements;

· Identify and resolve accounting issues, including complex technical matters;

· Maintain proper documentation and audit trail in accordance with firm policies and quality standards;

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance efficiency of workflows;

· Escalate complex or high-risk matters to Manager or Partner as appropriate;

· Support consultancy and business advisory projects; and

· Undertake ad-hoc assignments as assigned from time to time.

Requirement

  • 3 to 5 years of recent and continuous working experience in out sourcing function within corporate service providers or external audit firm.
  • Degree in Accountancy, CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA Australia or other equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Well-versed with SFRS, IFRS and generally acceptable accounting practices.
  • Good knowledge of internal control, risk management and corporate governance.
  • Sincere and committed, good time management and problem-solving skill, resourceful, proactive, able to work independently within fast-paced environment, effective verbal and written communication skill.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, accounting and payroll software.
  • Exposure to the use of AI and automation tools in accountancy industry.
