VP, RBWM Risk AND Control - RBWM CCO

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a VP RBWM Risk AND Control RBWM CCO.

In this role you will

Impact on the Business / Function

  • Build and maintain a robust, compliant First Line of Defence Business Risk Control capability for IWPB aligned to the global model (risk/control assessment, monitoring, standards implementation, QA).
  • Provide clear guidance to IWPB teams to meet Second Line of Defence directives (Compliance, Operational Risk, Information Security Risk, Business Continuity/Resilience, etc.).
  • Protect the Bank and IWPB from operational loss (financial and reputational) through strong risk identification, mitigation, and escalation.
  • Act as a key point of contact for IWPB Senior Management on compliance and operational risk matters, representing IWPB with Second Line stakeholders.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Financial Crime & Fraud Risk, Information Security Risk, Resilience Risk and local IWPB businesses to embed effective controls.
  • Coordinate and produce high-quality materials for Risk Management Meetings, Management Forums, and other governance sessions as required.
  • Ensure adherence to Group Standards, regulatory expectations, and Group Audit requirements, maintaining strong internal control discipline.
  • Drive effective use of operational risk tools and processes (e.g., RCA, CMA reviews, HELIOS, KIs/dashboards, MSIIs, audit databases) and ensure robust control monitoring programmes and RCA scoping.

To be successful you will need

  • Experience in operational risk and controls, ideally across front line and risk roles.
  • Solid understanding of the Group Operational Risk Framework and how to apply it in a First Line environment.
  • Proven problem-solving capability, including lateral thinking and pragmatic solution design.
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills across senior stakeholders and diverse teams.
  • Ability to prioritise, work independently under pressure, and deliver within a collaborative team environment.
  • Good awareness of the regulatory environment and strong knowledge of IWPB business, products, and services
