Senior Relationship Manager / Team Head – Private Banking

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Relationship Manager / Team Head to spearhead the growth of its Private Banking business. This is a unique opportunity for an established private banker with a proven track record in managing High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients while leading a high-performing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development, managing a portfolio of key clients, and leading an existing team of Relationship Managers. Candidates who are able to transition with an established and cohesive team will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Management

  • Develop and grow a portfolio of HNW and UHNW clients by delivering tailored wealth management solutions.
  • Acquire new-to-bank clients and increase Assets Under Management (AUM), Net New Money (NNM), and overall revenue.
  • Provide holistic advisory services across investments, discretionary portfolios, structured products, FX, lending, insurance, trust, estate, and succession planning.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service and regular portfolio reviews.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the strategic growth of the Private Banking business.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers to achieve individual and team performance objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance, and entrepreneurial culture.
  • Coach team members on client acquisition strategies, relationship management, and business development.
  • Monitor team performance, ensuring consistent achievement of AUM, NNM, revenue, and client acquisition targets.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of Relationship Managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management.
  • Proven track record in managing HNW/UHNW client portfolios and consistently achieving business targets.
  • Existing network of affluent clients with the ability to generate new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing a team of Private Bankers or Relationship Managers.
  • Candidates who are able to transition with an existing team of Relationship Managers will be highly preferred.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build, grow, and scale a private banking franchise.
  • Excellent leadership, business development, and stakeholder management skills
