Contract Accountant

The accountant is responsible for handling accounts and tax matters tomeet financial reporting and tax requirements mainly for India entity.

· Performmonth-end closing processes and ensuring compliance with local and groupreporting requirements.

· Performvariance, cost, profit and trending analysis.

· Performreconciliations for bank, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts.

· Handles directand indirect tax filing and return submission in accordance with the local lawand statutes.

· Ensure internaland external financial and tax reporting compliance requirements and timelinesare met.

· Lead and supportstatutory audit, tax and local transfer pricing reporting, ensuring statutorycompliance are adhered and complete timely.

· Provide supportto projects where expertise is required; support queries and work withstakeholders to resolve issues.

· Work closelywith internal stakeholders, including operations, logistics, and finance teams,to resolve accounting discrepancies.

· Identify andimplement improvement opportunities.

· Other ad hocrequests and supports as required.

A successful candidate is likely tohave

· Degree inaccountancy with at least 5 years accounting and tax experience.

· Good technicalknowledge of India accounting practices, financial reporting, and tax legislationcompliance.

· Experience inSAP system, a shared service center environment or an MNC will be an addedadvantage.

· Meticulous, ableto multi-task and delivery results within tight deadlines.

· Goodanalytical and problems solving skills.

· A responsibleteam player with good communication, follow-up and inter-personal skills.
