Student Support Specialist - Sembawang

Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one counselling and coaching tosupport students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being
- Conduct group and individual interventionprogrammes for students with additional needs (e.g. motivation, peerrelationships, cyber wellness, emotional regulation, and behaviour)
- Support restorative practices and studentmanagement initiatives within the school
- Collaborate with teachers to provide caseconsultation and support strategies for identified students
- Conduct staff sharing sessions on studentwell-being as part of professional development and training
- Support Character and Citizenship Education (CCE)and Education and Career Guidance (ECG) programmes and initiatives
- Work with parents through counsellingconsultations, talks, and workshops when required
- Liaise with external agencies and social serviceorganisations to support student cases
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, andethical standards in all interactions
- Build trust and rapport with students whilemaintaining appropriate professional boundaries
- Demonstrate a strengths-based, student-centredapproach focused on student growth and development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counsellors,and student management teams to support holistic student well-being
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in counselling, coaching, or student well-being support
- Experience in a school-based or youth-focused setting preferred
- Experience conducting group intervention programmes an advantage
- Experience working with students with additional social, emotional, or behavioural needs an advantage
- Experience in parent engagement (e.g. talks, workshops, or counselling consultations) an advantage
- Ability to apply restorative practices or mediation approaches in managing student behaviour
- Ability to design and deliver intervention programmes for at-risk students
- Ability to provide one-to-one coaching in areas such as emotional regulation, goal setting, and academic resilience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and school leaders
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development
