Objectives of the function
Creates value through the coordination of activities related to Compensation and benefits, HRIS, performance management and stakeholders’ communication.
Responsibilities
- Review existing policies, cost/benefit analysis on Compensation & Benefits (C&B) structure and processes.
- Design, develop and implement C&B programmes through strong engagement of key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR business partners, HR shared services (Business Solution Centre, BSC based in Schindler KL) and JSG C&B to ensure consistent implementation
- Coordinate with BSC on monthly final payroll checking while BSC is responsible for monthly payroll with external payroll vendor Prosoft
- Responsible for HR Policies (Employee Handbook) review, update and communication to employees, bi-annually where applicable.
- Lead the annual Company insurance renewal with broker
- Evaluate, manage third party vendors responsible for providing data or services for benefits programmes, ensuring contract obligations are met e.g. MHC vendor
- HRIS Key user for system management of Leave & Payroll Portal (Prosoft) and SAP for Personnel Data Management.
- Coordinate claims / payments with BSC for processing such as CPF submission, NS claim submission, Statutory leave claim submission (maternity, child care leaves etc), resignee final settlement, OT payment and AWS.
- Management of claims with insurer / broker such as medical, insurance and WICA claims
- Engage with Union on CA renewal (every 3 years)
- Responsible for performance appraisal process, and data cleansing with BSC before rollout.
- Data management with BSC for any position changes, promotion (including Color Belting for Technicians), transfers etc.
- Management of incentive schemes for payment with BSC e.g. Technical Retention Program, Port Incentive, Sales Incentive Scheme
- Perform annual salary benchmarking with Mercer
- Responsible for salary proposal of new joiners
- Responsible for salary budget exercise for C&B topics
- Handle tax clearance/settlement for local and expat employees with tax consultant
- Lead internal and external audits on C&B-statutory survey and MOM Labor market survey.
- HR Projects as assigned by the HR Director
Requirements:
- Good organizational and data management
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Good analytical skills and customer oriented.
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality and attention to details
- Highly resilient, adaptable, hands-on and independent worker
- Team player and collaborative approach
- University education or Diploma in Business. Studies/Management, Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills especially Excel skills on spreadsheet (pivot, vlookup, formula)
- Ability to research, analyse and translate data into context for stakeholders’ review (Management Team)
- Knowledge of Success Factors, HRIS (SAP, Payroll system like ProSoft) would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of Employment Act and HR practices.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in C&B function

- Maximum salary is $10K x 13mths + VB
- Experience in LOCAL / COUNTRY role
- Experience in processing insurance claims
- Exposure in handling blue-collared C&B portfolio
- Hands-on salary benchmarking, benefits review, increment etc
- Able to check payroll before sending to outsourced
- Experience in PWM (min. wage management) in Spore
- Handle and advise stakeholders
