Cloud Architect - (Public Sector)

As a Cloud Architect, you will work alongside software engineers, DevSecOps teams, and infrastructure specialists to design and deliver cloud-native solutions that support mission-critical enterprise and public sector systems.
You will be part of agile, DevOps-driven teams where automation, security, and engineering excellence are fundamental to the way we build and operate cloud platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work with Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) and commercial cloud environments, while growing your expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud security, and modern platform engineering using technologies such as AWS, Azure DevOps, Terraform, ARM templates, and Ansible.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy secure cloud-native solutions on Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) and Commercial Cloud (CC).
- Architect scalable cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on security, reliability, resilience and compliance.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates or equivalent technologies.
- Build, maintain and optimise Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation for cloud applications.
- Configure, deploy and manage cloud resources across compute, storage, networking and platform services.
- Implement cloud security controls, network boundary controls and security automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Monitor cloud environments, optimise cloud resource utilisation and improve operational efficiency in accordance with GCC best practices.
- Deploy High Availability (HA) solutions for cloud infrastructure and databases.
- Collaborate with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), software engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver secure cloud solutions.
- Support Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives, technical design, user acceptance testing and cloud migration activities.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud platform and infrastructure issues and document technical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, operational runbooks and architecture guides for Cloud Operations teams.
- Continuously improve cloud architecture, DevOps workflows and platform security posture.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
- Experience designing, implementing and operating secure cloud environments on AWS.
- Good understanding of Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience designing solutions for Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) or highly regulated cloud environments is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM Templates or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent DevOps platforms.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, backup and infrastructure services.
- Experience deploying High Availability (HA) infrastructure and resilient cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux server administration.
- Good understanding of CI/CD, DevOps and Agile software delivery practices.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security controls, network security and compliance.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
Preferred
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect or other relevant cloud certifications.
- Familiarity with IM8, cybersecurity and data security requirements.
- Working knowledge of ITIL service management processes.
- Experience supporting Singapore Government or public sector cloud initiatives.
