Your team

This role reports to the Director of Market Strategy and Planning.

How success looks like

  • Successful delivery of the business' critical metrics.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business’ promotional plan and selling presentation.
  • Understand existing solutions that the business offers and able to articulate these well to our partners.
  • Achieve solid category understanding and provide strategic input into retailer category strategy.
  • Translate complex market insights and strategic plans into measurable commercial enablement points for the selling organization.
  • Capable of starting strategic projects to drive sales growth and efficiencies.
  • Support business champions in business process changes and, where needed, driving them to requirements for application changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, selling, implementing, and evaluating business plans to meet or exceed financial and market share goals.
  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Operations, among others) and markets (China, Japan, HKTW, ASEAN) to develop strategies and plans
  • Managing and improving distribution, pricing, shelving, and merchandising
  • Translate Business Plans into measurable selling points for the customer
  • Connecting upstream innovation to effective market execution.
  • Turning raw data into meaningful conclusions by using analytical tools to integrate various data systems to develop new insights
  • Providing strategic input into retailer category strategy, leveraging deep business understanding and market insights.

Job Qualifications

  • Proven successful track record at 1) Deep understanding of commercial planning and processes, including retail promotion planning and execution, 2) Experience in translating strategic insights into actionable commercial plans to enable sales teams and 3) Expertise in market analysis, data interpretation, and deriving meaningful conclusions from raw data.
  • Experience in luxury skincare is preferred.
  • Experience in working with retailers & consumers based in the Greater China & Japan region is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin is highly preferred, as the role requires local consumer understanding to develop marketing strategies for the China Market.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the mentioned industry, or a related field within the mentioned industry.
  • Ambitious spirit, a real passion for winning, and a strategic mindset.
  • Proven ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and optimally to external and internal stakeholders.
