Job Overview

The Operations Executive plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of ROOTE. This is a hands-on, all-rounder position responsible for customer support, order fulfilment, operational coordination, inventory management, and administrative functions. As a fast-growing startup, we are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, adaptable, and willing to take ownership of tasks across different areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries via WhatsApp, email, social media, TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada, website live chat, and other communication channels.
  • Provide accurate product information and assist customers with their purchases.
  • Resolve customer issues, order enquiries, and after-sales support while delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • Escalate complex customer cases when necessary.

Order Fulfilment & Operations

  • Process daily customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Handle exchanges, returns, and replacement requests.
  • Ensure all orders meet ROOTE's quality standards before dispatch.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Assist with stock receiving, stock counts, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Report low stock levels and support inventory planning.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain organised records, documents, and operational files.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and operational documentation.
  • Coordinate internal meetings, appointments, and schedules when required.
  • Support daily business operations and cross-functional projects.
  • Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and external vendors.

Business Support

  • Assist during product launches, campaigns, livestreams, roadshows, and events.
  • Support marketing and customer engagement initiatives when required.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the company grows.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Shopify, e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop), or inventory systems is an advantage.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently.
