IT Executive

Care for the Elderly Foundation (Singapore)

The IT Executive is responsible for managing the organization's day-to-day IT operations and systems to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective technology processes. This role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, providing first-level support, leading digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies. The IT Executive plays a vital role in driving operational excellence and supporting the organization's mission through technology.

Role & Responsibilities

1. First-Level IT Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related queries.
  • Diagnose and resolve all hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot office IT equipment (e.g., laptops, printers, routers, PABX Telephone).
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to external vendors or specialists.
  • Support staff in using collaboration tools such as email, document sharing, and video conferencing platforms.

2. Technology Oversight

  • Manage IT equipment, supplies, and facilities to support smooth operations.
  • Maintain and monitor the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Oversee system upgrades, minimize downtime, and manage user access controls.
  • Implement technology solutions to improve organizational productivity.
  • Conduct training for staff on IT systems and tools to improve digital competency.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws (e.g., PDPA) and IT governance standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes in line with organizational policies.

3. Digital Transformation & Innovation

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive digital transformation and efficiency.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and deploy software tools such as donor or volunteer management systems.
  • Introduce technologies that streamline manual processes and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimise digital platforms for outreach, fundraising, and service delivery.

4. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Conduct periodic IT and operational risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to IT security standards, data protection regulations, and workplace safety policies.
  • Develop and maintain an effective disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Regularly review IT and operational processes to identify and address gaps.

  • Reports to: Senior Manager, IT & Corporate Governance
  • Internal Contacts: All CEF End users
  • External Contacts: Vendors and Supplier, related

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in IT support or IT operations.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for PCs, laptops, Windows operating systems, and common office applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office applications, and Windows environments.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, user account administration, printers, and office IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Work Schedule

  • 5-day work week (Monday toFriday)
  • Working hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Off days: Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays (However, attendance at organization events on weekends may be required when necessary.)
