About Puppy Diary

Puppy Diary is an online marketplace for pet accessories and expert pet advisory, connecting pet owners with quality products and trusted guidance. We're building a community where pet parents shop, learn, and belong. Events are how we bring that community to life — online and offline.

Role Summary

The Director of Events owns Puppy Diary's end-to-end events strategy: from large-scale brand activations and pet expos to community meetups, advisory workshops, and digital experiences such as livestream shopping. You will turn our online audience into an engaged, in-person community while driving measurable brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and own the annual events calendar aligned to marketing, sales, and community goals.
  • Build and lead the events function, including team hiring, budgeting, and vendor management.
  • Set and track KPIs (attendance, leads, conversions, ROI, community growth).

Event Execution

  • Conceive and deliver flagship experiences: pet fairs, pop-ups, breed meetups, adoption drives, and product launches.
  • Produce digital and hybrid events — webinars, advisory clinics, livestream shopping sessions, and creator collaborations.
  • Manage logistics end-to-end: venues, permits, suppliers, staffing, run-of-show, and on-site delivery.

Partnerships & Commercial

  • Secure and manage sponsors, brand partners, vets, trainers, breeders, and pet-welfare organisations.
  • Identify revenue and sponsorship opportunities that make events self-sustaining or profit-generating.

Brand & Community

  • Ensure every event reflects Puppy Diary's brand, voice, and standard of care for animals and owners.
  • Partner with marketing on pre-event promotion and post-event content to extend reach online.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in events, experiential marketing, or brand activation, with 2+ years in a team leadership role.
  • Proven record delivering large-scale consumer events on time and on budget.
  • Strong commercial sense — comfortable owning budgets, sponsorships, and ROI.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across vendors, partners, and internal teams.
  • A genuine affinity for pets and pet-owner communities.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as events require.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or marketplace environments.
  • Familiarity with livestream commerce and influencer/creator events.
  • Network within the pet, veterinary, or lifestyle sectors in Singapore or the region.
  • Bilingual (English/Mandarin) for broader regional reach.
