Job Summary

Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, creating menus, supervising staff, controlling inventory, and ensuring high-quality food preparation to deliver excellent dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely service
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and refine menu recipes that meet quality and customer expectations
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to maintain productivity and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage food ordering, cost control, and inventory levels to optimize kitchen resources and reduce waste
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following established culinary standards and safety guidelines
  • Oversee the food preparation process to ensure consistency, quality, and hygiene compliance
  • Train kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and shift schedules to enhance team performance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Knowledge of food and beverage professional principles and practices to support kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with order and inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Awareness of current culinary trends and best cooking practices to contribute to menu innovation
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management
