Chingay Parade Intern – Programme and Production (Foreign Groups)

[What the role is]

The internship is timed to capture the most exciting and intensive phase of Chingay's production calendar — spanning production planning, rehearsal coordination, and foreign performing groups engagement, all the way through to the live parade and post-event close-out.

Interns will be hands-on contributors working alongside experienced professionals at every stage of the journey. Beyond technical skills, the internship aims to cultivate in each intern a strong sense of cultural awareness, professional adaptability, and the confidence to take on real responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

[What you will be working on]

Event Planning & Execution

  • P rovide on-the-ground support for all Chingay -related events beyond the main parade, including media conferences and pre-publicity activations

  • Assist with the management of foreign performing groups during rehearsals and parade/show days.

Production Planning and Coordination

  • Assist with the planning of performance format and foreign performing groups’ involvement

  • Support in the translation of discussion pointers into visual presentations covering production concepts, formation layouts, and other key operational information.

  • Assist with the coordination of foreign performing groups' end-to-end movements, from arrival in Singapore through rehearsals, event days, and departure

Stakeholder and Vendor Management

  • Assist with the liaison of stakeholders and vendors providing hospitality and welfare services for foreign performing groups

Logistics and Administrative Management

  • Assist with administrative duties pertaining to foreign performing groups across all phases of the event

  • Support the coordination and documentation of production schedules and logistical timelines.

[What we are looking for]

  • Undergraduates and diploma holders are welcome; individuals with a passion for the performing arts, event production, and community engagement are preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong soft skills such as communication and adaptabilit y

  • Able to commit during rehearsals and key event dates that are held on weekends

  • Available to commit from October 2026 to March 2027
