Job Scope
- Manage and support infrastructure architecture, resource planning, system performance, and the overall infrastructure operating environment for cloud computing platforms, with observability practices to ensure visibility into system health and performance.
- Demonstrate comprehensive technical expertise in Infrastructure Services, including Infrastructure Management, Cloud Computing, DevOps, observability frameworks (logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting), and automation tooling to drive operational efficiency.
- Maintain understanding of systems operations environment and governance processes to ensure smooth and continuous infrastructure operations, leveraging automation and observability to proactively detect and respond to incidents.
- Manage cloud computing infrastructure to support application systems through close collaboration with Application Services teams, embedding resiliency principles such as fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and redundancy into infrastructure design.
- Lead infrastructure project delivery, ensuring effective coordination between internal teams and external vendors while maintaining project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, with a focus on resilient, observable, and automated infrastructure solutions.
- Drive resiliency engineering initiatives, including the definition of RTOs, RPOs, and Service Availability Objectives (SAOs), conducting regular failover testing to meet availability and business continuity requirements.
- Manage vendors and assess their performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and maintaining working relationships.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in infrastructure management, with cloud platform experience being highly advantageous
- Cloud technology platform certifications, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Azure certifications, will be advantageous
- Must be a proactive and dedicated professional demonstrating strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Contract duration: 1 year (1 Oct 26 to 30 Sept 2027)
Working Arrangement
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 6:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
