Data Centre Facility Technician

About the Role

We are looking for a Facility Technician to support the daily operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure within a large-scale Internet Data Centre (IDC). The successful candidate will perform routine inspections, respond to incidents and ensure facilities are operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform 24×7 rotating shift duties to support data centre operations.

• Conduct routine inspections of critical facility systems in accordance with operational procedures.

• Monitor power, cooling, environmental and supporting infrastructure systems.

• Respond to facility alarms and incidents according to established SOPs.

• Perform first-level fault isolation and support troubleshooting activities.

• Maintain accurate operation logs and maintenance records.

• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

• Assist in implementing MOPs (Method of Procedure) and maintenance plans.

• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure service continuity.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related disciplines.

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

• Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, UPS, generators or critical infrastructure systems will be an advantage.

• Able to perform rotating shift work.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
