Senior Civil Engineer

Lead design and project management for major civil and structural engineering projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, preparing design reports and tender documents, and mentoring junior engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of detailed design reports, calculations, and drawings to meet project requirements
• Prepare and submit documentation to statutory agencies and authorities for regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design deliverables effectively
• Lead preparation of tender documentation to support project bidding processes
• Participate actively in project tendering and contribute to securing contracts
• Manage design, coordination, and project control activities on major infrastructure projects
• Train and mentor junior engineers to develop technical skills and project competencies
• Apply knowledge of local codes and authority submission procedures to ensure compliance
• Utilize structural design software to produce accurate and efficient engineering solutions
• Manage project timelines and work under pressure to meet deadlines with effective time management
• Apply strong analytical skills to solve design and project challenges
• Design and manage civil infrastructure projects including roads, drains, sewers, utilities, and rail alignments

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university
• Eligibility for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore)
• Minimum of 5 years of design experience in engineering consulting practice
• Proficiency with local codes and authority submission procedures

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail, or road projects involving underground, basement, elevated, tunnel, or MRT station structures
• Good project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
