Job Summary

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily production activities within the food manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
  • Monitor production output, productivity, and quality to achieve operational targets.
  • Allocate manpower effectively according to production requirements.
  • Monitor machine utilization and report equipment issues to the maintenance team.

Food Safety & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and company food safety policies.
  • Verify that production staff follow hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.
  • Conduct routine production and quality checks.

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise production operators, packers, and general workers.
  • Conduct daily production briefings and assign work duties.
  • Train new employees on production procedures, food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Monitor employee performance and recommend improvements where necessary.

Workplace Safety

  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.
  • Report and investigate workplace incidents or near misses.

Education

  • Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing or food production environment.
  • At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience supervising production operators and coordinating daily manufacturing activities.

Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • HACCP or Food Safety certification.
  • Experience in central kitchen, ready-to-eat (RTE), frozen food, or catering food manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP or production management systems.

Working Conditions

  • Based at the company's manufacturing facility in Tuas, Singapore.
  • 5.5-day work week or rotating shifts, depending on operational requirements.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays during peak production periods.
  • Work is performed in production areas, including chilled, cold-room, or temperature-controlled environments.
