DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of a Project Account Analyst include:

  • Analyse project financial performance and identify budget variances, cost overruns, or potential financial risks.
  • Monitoring financial aspects of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and issuing billings.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standardsand contractual requirements.
  • Collaborating with project teams to provide timely and accurate financial information.
  • Reconcile project accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to project accounting
  • Perform data analysis using spreadsheets and accounting software to support financial planning and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing management presentations related to project financial performance.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2–5 years of experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or general accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in mining, manufacturing, or project-based industries is an advantage.
