Project Accounts Analyst

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of a Project Account Analyst include:
- Analyse project financial performance and identify budget variances, cost overruns, or potential financial risks.
- Monitoring financial aspects of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and issuing billings.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standardsand contractual requirements.
- Collaborating with project teams to provide timely and accurate financial information.
- Reconcile project accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to project accounting
- Perform data analysis using spreadsheets and accounting software to support financial planning and reporting.
- Assist in preparing management presentations related to project financial performance.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or general accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in mining, manufacturing, or project-based industries is an advantage.
