IT Support Engineer, Junior

Responsibilities

• Support colleagues with IT incidents and service requests.

• Drive and coordinate major incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication.

• Assist the Infrastructure & Operations team as needed.

• Ensure proper asset management and equipment procurement.

• Manage and uphold Identity and Access Management (IAM) activities.

• Create and share knowledge articles to promote learning.

• Collaborate with various service desks within the organization.

• Swiftly resolve technical problems for users.

• Maintain a stable computing environment for all users.

• Ensure a consistent and updated user platform aligns with business requirements.

• Oversee client software versions through official management tools.

• Monitor automated jobs, addressing or escalating issues as necessary.

• Track hardware and ensure the integrity of connections to external parties.

• Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements.

• Oversee printer setups and peripheral equipment.

• Manage PC security measures, including antivirus checks and disk encryption.

• Keep hardware and software registers updated.

• Manage the PC pool and lending equipment.

• Actively engage in regional activities as directed by central IT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 1 year of experience in IT Support.

• ITIL Foundation certification.

• Strong written communication skills with clear structure.

• Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking.

• Familiarity with network protocols such as DHCP and DNS.

• Knowledge of printer troubleshooting and print management.

• Experience in IT asset lifecycle management and configuration management databases.

• Proficient in creating documentation, including knowledge articles.
