Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required: based in the Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand region
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage diverse audiences.
Experience in designing and conducting clinical research, statistics and scientific data interpretation.
Proven ability to build and maintain KOL relationships
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience
Required: Direct experience in clinical embryology.
Preferred: 1-2 years of Medical Science Liaison or equivalent experience
Education
Required: Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline required, terminal degree (PhD) preferred.
Job Summary
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a remote role with geographical competence for the Asia Pacific region, and plays a pivotal role in advancing scientific and clinical understanding of CooperSurgical Fertility. This position requires a strong background in both clinical embryology and research, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities: Medical Information/ Knowledge
- Serve as a scientific resource to external healthcare providers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide up-to-date medical information and product knowledge related to CooperSurgical specialty surgery portfolio.
- Maintain a deep expertise in procedures and emerging evidence related to clinical embryology and fertility.
- Serve as a credible and valued representative in a variety of interactions with key stakeholders internally and externally (i.e., collaborate with the commercial team, regulatory, legal, R&D, commercial operations, etc.).
- Train internal stakeholders on key scientific and medical topics relevant to CooperSurgical fertility portfolio.
- Provide fair balanced medical information for healthcare providers by addressing questions from healthcare providers based on available scientific data.
- Respond to Medical Information Requests in a timely manner and work collaboratively as needed.
- Create multimedia scientific educational content for presentations in live and virtual formats for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular, and extensive reviews of the literature, develop presentations, and assist with publications and medical communications.
- Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments and proactively report competitive activities and events that can influence the use of company products.
- Adhere to corporate compliance in all activities, including those related to scientific interactions with internal and external groups.
Research
- Identify and evaluate scientific merit of Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) and External Collaborative Research (ECR) study protocols related to CooperSurgical infertility portfolio.
- Facilitation of the collaborative research process; to include assist in set-up, implementation, and execution of company-sponsored studies related to CooperSurgical fertility portfolio.
- Prepare and present materials for investigator and team meetings related to CooperSurgical fertility related studies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and investigators from inception to publication for (IIS) and (ECR) projects related to CooperSurgical specialty surgery related studies .
- Provide scientific input and guidance on study design, protocol development, data interpretation, and publication strategy.
KOL Development
- Identify, establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, healthcare providers, and researchers.
- Engage KOLs in scientific discussions, share clinical data and insights, and gather feedback on CooperSurgical specialty surgery portfolio.
- Establish and develop scientific and clinical relationships with thought leaders and academic centers to engage in scientific exchange and maintain a reliable presence with those scientific leaders to ensure they have a medical contact within the company.
- Actively participate in advisory boards, speaker training events, clinical investigator meetings, and regional and national conferences, when required.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical affairs initiatives including publications, conference presentations, advisory boards, medical education, training, speaker development and research.
- Communicate clinical insights and competitive intelligence to Medical Affairs team to inform medical strategy for the fertility area.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate reporting and documentation of MSL activities.
Subject Matter Expertise
Maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding CooperSurgical fertility portfolio, clinical profile, competitive landscape, and relevant scientific literature.
Serve as a trusted resource for internal teams, including Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory Affairs.
Be capable to collaborate closely with the Promotional Review Committee to ensure that all promotional materials, including slide decks, scientific presentations, and educational resources, comply with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
Work to answer all medical information requests
Medical Information Management
Manage and disseminate accurate, up-to-date medical information on CooperSurgical specialty surgery related portfolio to healthcare professionals, researchers, and internal stakeholders.
Respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals and researchers regarding clinical data, product information, and scientific literature, ensuring timely and comprehensive support.
Collaborate between medical, legal, regulatory, and marketing teams to ensure that standard response letters (SRLs) reflect the most current scientific evidence and adhere to applicable regulations and corporate standards.
