Job Responsibilities Lean Operating System (OS) Framework

  • Drive SAESL's end-to-end Lean Operating System (OS) transformation programme for assigned Operating Business Units (OBUs).
  • Develop and maintain the OS Standards & Tools Register, mapping each Core Standard to its respective owner, tools, templates, and departmental responsibilities.
  • Design, implement, and govern the OS Maturity Certification Framework, including phased certification gates, assessor roles, evaluation criteria, and certification governance.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive OS Programme Workbook to track compliance status, maturity assessments, certification progress, action plans, and ownership across all OBUs.

OS Maturity Assessment & Certification

  • Design, administer, and continuously improve the Lean OS maturity assessment and certification programme.
  • Facilitate assessor-led maturity assessments at the cell level, ensuring consistent evaluation standards, scoring methodologies, and evidence requirements across all OBUs.
  • Partner with OBU Leaders and Standard Owners to drive deployment of Lean standards, close maturity gaps, implement corrective actions, and achieve certification milestones.
  • Monitor certification readiness and provide recommendations to leadership on maturity progression and risk mitigation.

Kaizen & Value Stream Management

  • Plan, facilitate, and lead multi-day Kaizen events focused on end-to-end operational processes, identifying waste and systematically eliminating process bottlenecks across key operational value streams.
  • Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify improvement opportunities, optimise process flow, and prioritise high-impact initiatives.
  • Translate Kaizen outcomes into structured reports and executive presentations, providing data-driven recommendations, implementation roadmaps, and measurable business benefits.
  • Drive post-Kaizen sustainability by monitoring implementation of agreed countermeasures, validating improvement outcomes, and ensuring long-term standardisation.

Performance Reporting & SQCDP Dashboard Management

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance Power BI SQCDP dashboards, providing real-time visibility of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People performance at both OBU and site levels.
  • Prepare and present Lean OS performance reports, maturity assessment summaries, certification status, and gap analyses to OBU Directors and the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Establish and monitor Lean transformation KPIs, including certification rates, standard compliance, Kaizen implementation, productivity improvements, and Lean maturity progression.
  • Analyse performance trends and provide actionable insights to support data-driven operational decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Building

  • Serve as the primary Lean subject matter expert for OBU Directors, Standard Owners, and cross-functional stakeholders, including HSE, Quality, Central Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing Services (EMS), and other support functions.
  • Drive organisation-wide adoption of the Lean Operating System through structured stakeholder engagement, coaching, mentoring, and change management initiatives.
  • Develop, deliver, and continuously improve Lean training programmes aligned with OS Core Standards, ensuring consistent understanding and application across all organisational levels.
  • Facilitate leadership Gemba walks, benchmarking visits, and industrial learning events to strengthen leadership commitment and promote continuous improvement culture.

Lean Strategy & Long-Term Transformation

  • Support the development, execution, and continuous enhancement of SAESL's Lean Strategy Framework, aligned with strategic pillars including Flow Engineering, Standards & Workplace Excellence, Workforce Capability, Operating System Enhancement, and Supply Chain Excellence.
  • Develop and monitor strategic KPIs supporting Turnaround Time (TAT) reduction, operational excellence, productivity improvement, and sustainable business performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement digital Lean technologies, Power Platform solutions, automation opportunities, and data analytics tools to enhance Lean programme execution, governance, and operational visibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, standardisation, operational resilience, and long-term transformation objectives.

Qualification / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Lean Management, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Operations within a manufacturing or MRO environment.
  • Experience driving Lean Operating System or transformation initiatives across multiple operational units.
  • Proven experience facilitating Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and structured problem-solving initiatives.
  • Experience in programme and project management, including stakeholder engagement and progress reporting.
  • Aerospace MRO experience is an advantage.
  • Lean certification (Green Belt or equivalent) required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (or actively pursuing) preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate is preferred.
  • Ability to develop and maintain dashboards, certification trackers, and programme monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles and operating systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
