Intern - IT (Tooling Database Migration)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Engineering Team to understand requirements for migrating the tooling database from the outdated system into a modern platform.
• Assist in the development and implementation of a new database system (SQL/Microsoft Access) to support tooling records, search, and reporting.
• Support data migration and validation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of tooling records.
• Help design user‑friendly interfaces for tooling entry, search, and reporting workflows.
• Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of the database application to ensure reliability and usability.
• Work with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Operations) to validate database functionality and meet requirements.

Education & Experience

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Exposure to database systems and frontend & backend programming tools is an advantage.

Skills

• Database & Data Management:

• Understanding of relational databases (SQL, Access, or SQLite) and data validation processes.

• Programming & Application Development:

• Familiarity with C#.NET, Python, or similar languages for database integration and interface design.

• Workflow & Interface Design:

• Ability to design simple, user‑friendly forms and search functions for tooling records.

• Problem-Solving & Collaboration:

• Strong troubleshooting mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in a cross‑functional engineering environment.
