PositionSummary

The ReworkEngineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and controlling reworkprocesses to maximize product recovery and minimize scrap in opticaltransceiver manufacturing. This role focuses on failure analysis, reworkstrategy definition, and continuous improvement of rework yield and efficiency.

KeyResponsibilities

· Developand standardize rework processes for various defects, including:

· Diebonding issues

· Wirebonding defects

· Alignmentfailures

· Opticalperformance failures

· Performand support failure analysis (FA) to identify root causes

· Evaluate:

· Reworkfeasibility

· Yieldrecovery opportunities

· Riskvs. cost trade-offs

· Improverework performance in terms of:

· Yieldrecovery rate

· Scrapreduction

· Cycletime efficiency

· Defineand maintain:

· ReworkSOPs

· Workinstructions

· Acceptancecriteria

· Drivecontinuous improvement to:

· Reducedefect occurrence

· Minimizerework dependency

· Ensureall rework activities comply with:

· Qualityrequirements

· Reliabilitystandards

· ESDand safety procedures

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline

Experience

· 5+years of experience in semiconductor packaging, optical module manufacturing,or repair/rework engineering

  • Hands-on experience in failure analysis and rework processes is preferred

TechnicalSkills

· Strongunderstanding of assembly processes:

· DieBond (DB), Wire Bond (WB), Active Alignment (AA), optical assembly

· Experiencewith failure analysis tools:

· X-ray/ CT inspection

· Opticalmicroscope

· Electricaland optical test systems

· Knowledgeof common failure modes:

· Misalignment

· Bondingdefects

· Voids/ delamination

  • Optical coupling degradation

Soft Skills

· Stronganalytical and troubleshooting ability

· Attentionto detail and quality focus

  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams
