SMT Machine Engineer

Position Summary

The SMT Machine Engineer is responsible for the operation, installation,qualification, maintenance, and optimization of SMT equipment used in PCBAmanufacturing for optical transceivers. This role ensures equipment stability,uptime, and performance to support high-volume production.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate, Install, qualify, and maintainSMT equipment

· Perform:

· Preventive maintenance (PM)

· Corrective maintenance (CM)

· Ensure equipment performance in terms of:

· Uptime

· Availability

· Throughput

· Troubleshoot equipment issues and minimizedowntime

· Optimize equipment performance andutilization

· Support new equipment introduction andacceptance (FAT/SAT)

· Work closely with:

· SMT Process Engineers

· Production teams

· Maintain equipment documentation andmaintenance records

· Ensure compliance with:

· Safety standards

· ESD requirements

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field

Experience

· 5+ years of experience in SMT machineengineering

• Experience with high-volume SMT lines preferred

Technical Skills

· Hands-on experience with SMT equipment,including:

· Printer (solder paste printing)

· SPI (Solder Paste Inspection)

· Pick & Place machines (e.g., ASMPTSIPLACE or Panasonic NPM)

· Reflow oven

· AOI systems

· Expertise in:

· Equipment setup and calibration

· Preventive maintenance (PM)

· Troubleshooting and repair

· Knowledge of:

· Equipment performance metrics (UPH, OEE,uptime)

· Process-equipmentinteraction

Soft Skills

· Strong troubleshooting and hands-oncapability

· Good coordination with production andprocess teams

· Ability to work under time pressure
