Job Title: Student Management and Investigation Officer.

Job Type: Contract (Base Period: 3 August 2026 to 31 July 2028)
Working Hours
- Mondays to Fridays: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break).
- Off on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
- Perk: Service is not required during school holidays in June and December (Work period spans 10 months).
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to join our team as a Student Management and Investigation Officer. You will support the administrative and pastoral functions of the school by managing student conduct matters and ensuring incidents are handled fairly and promptly.
- Student Incident Management: Respond promptly to daily student management cases, including misconduct, breaches of school rules, physical altercations, theft, vandalism, and bullying/cyberbullying incidents.
- Investigation & Fact-Finding: Conduct unbiased preliminary investigations, interview involved students and witnesses, and systematically review evidence (e.g., CCTV footage, written statements, and digital records).
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare clear and accurate professional investigation reports mapping out event timelines and key concerns to brief school leadership (Principal, Vice-Principals, HODs).
- Pastoral Student Engagement: Build positive rapport with students, exercise empathy, guide them in reflecting on their actions, and handle all student matters with absolute confidentiality and respect.
- Collaborative Support: Partner closely with teachers, school counsellors, Special Educational Needs (SEN) Officers, and key personnel to foster student well-being and implement developmental interventions.
- Record Management: Maintain confidential and structured logs of school incidents and outcomes in strict alignment with data protection compliance policies.
Requirements
- Academic Qualifications: Minimum Higher Nitec or GCE “O” Level with three or more passes, including a credit in English Language.
- Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in student discipline, conflict management, case management, or related fields. Prior experience within an MOE school environment is highly advantageous (p. 15).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: A professional, pleasant, and neutral demeanour when dealing with difficult behavioral scenarios.
- Core Competencies: Strong conflict mediation abilities and familiarity with student development principles are preferred.
