Regulatory Affairs Specialist

This position provides technical regulatory and compliance support and expertise to ensure customer satisfaction and success of the overall business strategy of the organization. The position requires the incumbent to handle and oversee compliance to national regulations in Southeast Asia on food composition and labeling including nutritional panels, as well as country compliance reviews specifically for the ADM portfolio of products. The role will be supporting RSA team as the central point within the SEA organization for customer questionnaires and other customer or country specific requirements.

Your Resposibilities

  • Legal evaluation of the ADM products for the intended industry (i.e. food, beverage, nutrition)
  • Responsible for the creation, issuance, monitoring and updating of product documentation of ADM products that are created in SEA. This could include documents such as specifications, allergens, GMO, labeling, country compliance, kosher, halal, SDS, nutritional information, country of origin and other regulatory documentation to customers and technical personnel as needed.
  • Maintain the technical data for raw materials and products manufactured and sold by ADM in SEA.
  • Lead regulatory programs, including manufacturer, such as kosher, halal, organic and any other sustainability certifications as required by the business needs.
  • Coordinate projects regarding a variety of regulatory topics, both domestic and international.
  • Communicate with external governing agencies and trade associations as required.
  • Evaluate formula revisions and communicate labeling modifications to stakeholders and customers.
  • Act as an information resource for both internal and external customers to include education and guidance to affected departments regarding various regulatory topics.
  • Perform root cause analysis for customer complaints related to Regulatory.
  • Monitor regulation changes in SEA related to ADM portfolio, report to regional and global RSA team.
  • Perform other regulatory related duties and special assignments as required.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Chemistry, Food Science or other related field, or equivalent experience
  • Prefer 3-5 years of experience in food/beverage, flavor or related industry.
  • Minimum 3 years in Regulatory Compliance.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong, independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a very good command of both written and spoken English.
