English and Maths Teacher

Nanyang Asia College seeks a dedicated English and Mathematics Teacher to deliver AEIS Preparatory courses for international students from Primary 2 to Secondary 3, supporting their academic progress through structured lessons and effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English and Mathematics lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus and AEIS examination requirements for Primary 2 to Secondary 3 students
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and assessments to support student learning outcomes
• Monitor and evaluate students’ academic progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents
• Conduct class tests, revision programmes, and mock examinations to prepare students effectively for AEIS examinations
• Identify individual students’ learning needs and apply differentiated instruction to enhance their academic performance
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, and student progress reports for administrative and academic tracking
• Foster a positive, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and student development
• Collaborate in curriculum planning, participate actively in staff meetings, and engage in professional development activities to improve teaching practices
• Perform additional teaching-related duties as assigned by Academic Management to support the institution’s educational goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant discipline
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in English and/or Mathematics
• Proficient in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with students and parents
• Strong classroom management skills demonstrated by maintaining discipline and engagement in diverse classrooms
• Experience teaching the Singapore MOE curriculum and AEIS Preparatory courses (advantageous but essential for effective lesson delivery)
• Familiarity with Primary and Secondary Singapore syllabuses to ensure curriculum alignment

• Experience teaching students to address diverse cultural learning needs
• Ability to teach both English and Mathematics to provide flexible instructional support
