Job Title: IT Network & Security Administrator

Location: Changi Business Park, Singapore | On-site

Employment Type: 12-Month Renewable Contract

We are looking for a hands-on IT Network & Security Administrator to manage and support network infrastructure and security operations across HQ and retail store environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in L3 network troubleshooting, routing, switching, firewall administration, VPN, VLAN, core/distribution/access switch architecture, and multi-site network support. This role requires someone who can independently troubleshoot network issues, support infrastructure rollout, manage vendors, and ensure reliable connectivity across business and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure & Operations

Manage, maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall and network infrastructure across HQ and retail stores.

Support L2/L3 network troubleshooting, including routing, switching, VLAN, inter-VLAN routing, trunking, STP, ACL, NAT and VPN-related issues.

Administer and support core, distribution and access switches, including configuration, troubleshooting, firmware upgrades and documentation.

Support multi-site connectivity, store network setup, network changes and infrastructure deployment.

Monitor network performance, uptime and availability across HQ and retail outlets.

Support network device upgrades, replacement, migration, cabling coordination, testing and commissioning.

Maintain updated network diagrams, IP addressing, device inventory, configuration records and SOP documentation.

Firewall & Network Security

Manage firewall policies, VPN access, NAT rules, rule review, firmware upgrades, backup and security configuration.

Support firewall troubleshooting and coordination with vendors or service providers.

Implement and maintain network segmentation and access controls to improve security posture.

Support vulnerability remediation, patching and infrastructure hardening activities.

Assist in security audits, compliance reviews, VAPT remediation and security documentation when required.

Telco, Vendor & Project Support

Coordinate with telcos and vendors on circuits, SIMs, provisioning, escalation and issue resolution.

Work with internal stakeholders, vendors and service providers for network projects, incidents and changes.

Provide on-site support at retail stores when required for troubleshooting, deployment or incident resolution.

Participate in infrastructure projects, new store setup and network/security improvement initiatives.

Handle ad-hoc IT infrastructure and operational support where required.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure and network security support.

Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, firewall, LAN/WAN and network troubleshooting.

Good understanding of core, distribution and access switch architecture.

Hands-on experience with network devices such as Cisco, Aruba, HPE, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos or equivalent.

Experience supporting firewalls, VPN, ACL, NAT, network segmentation and security policies.

Experience supporting multi-site environments, preferably retail, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing or enterprise environments.

Able to troubleshoot network incidents independently and explain technical issues clearly.

Experience working with vendors, telcos and service providers for escalation and issue resolution.

Comfortable working on-site in Singapore and travelling to retail stores when required.

Strong ownership mindset, good documentation discipline and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Fortinet / FortiGate firewall and SD-WAN.

Knowledge of Azure networking or Azure Firewall.

Exposure to VAPT remediation, security audit, Cyber Trust Mark or Data Protection Trust Mark will be an added advantage.

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+, Fortinet NSE or equivalent will be advantageous.

Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage for coordination with regional stakeholders, vendors or retail users.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This role is suitable for a hands-on network engineer or network security administrator who is comfortable supporting both daily operations and project-based infrastructure work. The successful candidate should be strong in network fundamentals, able to troubleshoot L3 network issues, understand core/distribution/access switching, and support firewall and security operations across a multi-site environment.
