Buyer (Electronic Manufacturing)

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end purchasing activities including sourcing, RFQ, price negotiation, shipment arrangement, and delivery follow-up.
Review and purchase materials, components, and equipment based on MRP requirements.
Expedite material deliveries with suppliers to meet production schedules.
Work closely with the Supply Chain Planning team to support customer delivery commitments.
Monitor inventory levels and execute stocking policies set by management.
Liaise with logistics providers on shipment arrangements, shipment tracking, and customs declarations.
Manage supplier performance in areas of quality, delivery, and inventory control.
Maintain purchasing documentation including vendor setup, database maintenance, and submission of PO/DN/Invoice documents to Finance.
Handle RMA/NCT units returned to suppliers.
Support cost reduction initiatives and purchasing process improvements.
Analyze Bills of Materials (BOM) and update weekly/monthly reports in a timely manner.
Perform ad-hoc duties and prioritize tasks based on business urgency.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related disciplines.
Minimum 2 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience preferred.
Good interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of SAP and/or MRP systems is an advantage.
Independent, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and teamwork. Working Hours & Location:

Location: Tampines
Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday (5-day work week)
Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Office: Wednesday to Friday
Work From Home (WFH): Saturday & Sunday
