NBCUNIVERSAL FORMATS
NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the international sales division for all
formats created within the production, broadcast, and streaming divisions of NBCUniversal and Sky
Studios, as well as select third parties. The division fosters a range of strategic alliances, co-production,
and co-development partnerships to bring a diverse slate of non-scripted and scripted formats to the
global market. Leading brands include the internationally successful series "Top Chef", the hit game show "Hollywood Game Night", the legendary comedy showcase "Saturday Night Live", the global franchise "The Real Housewives", and entertainment formats "That’s My Jam" and “Win Win!” in addition to the scripted formats "Suits", "House", "Monk", and "Superstore", among others.
The Sales Liaison Executive role is a key role within the team, reporting into the Vice President and supporting the wider team in UK too. You will be expected to own key tasks and work closely with the Sales Administration, Operations, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure delivery of accurate information on new and current content. Examples would include:
Sales Support
- Support VP in format sales and marketing strategies for Asia, including adapting and localizing e-marketing blast, organizing and preparing PPT sales presentation and promos for the region.
- Maintaining regular follow-up with clients by providing new sales materials on our titles, e.g.: Promos, Screeners, rating and review reports
- Managing VP’s calendar, coordinating internal and external meetings across different time zones.
- Facilitate timely submission of all Legal and Finance related matters to both clients and relevant UK departments to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation and payment workflow.
- Help VP to regularly liaise with clients across Asia to gather and provide UK on all Asia-related information (e.g.: ratings, production files, TX information, etc.)
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting schedules, and administrative support for VP, ensuring prompt client support during business travel.
- Build and maintain good customers relationships through regular communication and attend meetings with VP (not limited to ATF) to have better market knowledge.
- Review and evaluate current and new NBCUniversal titles to develop a better knowledge of our catalog, support sales pitches and provide feedback for new potential 3rd party titles.
- Monitor and analyze content trends across Asia, with a particular focus on the Korean entertainment market, to identify opportunities and support business development initiatives.
Admin Support
- Manage, update and track all Asia’s production timeline and related materials including
- Promos/trailers, full episodes, key art, photography, ratings report, ancillary reports, etc.) and social media activities.
- Responsible for timely filing and organizing of all Asia production assets, including videos, images, ratings, onto the Singapore NAS (Nearline Storage) and UK SharePoint.
- Update and maintain worldwide monthly billing reports in Salesforce for UK and Asia.
- Co-ordinate the procurement and ensure timely delivery of promotional giveaways for TV markets, liaising between external vendors and UK.
- Organize, update and maintain Asia clients’ screeners’ tracker, clients’ data information, Finance records (Invoices and Contracts), TV Awards submissions and TV Festival registration (not limited to Asia only), Salesforce and Format website administration.
- Support in sales pitches and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients, including KYC documentation and website registration.
- Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Comms, Sales Administration, Operations, Legal, Research, Sales and Finance to ensure efficient business operations.
- Support VP in planning and executing the annual ATF booth design, coordinating with TVD and IT teams to ensure smooth deployment of iPads content and effective schedule management throughout the event.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with a Sales media environment preferred but not essential.
- Experience/knowledge of TV & Film industry considered advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
- Attention to detail and great organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work with tight deadlines and perform efficiently under pressure.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and video editing software is preferred.
- Ability to work across multiple time zones and international territories.
- Ability & willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
