We are seeking a passionate and resourceful Cook to join our Operations team at St Luke’s ElderCare Residence. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals by preparing, cooking, and serving food in compliance with health and safety standards. You will focus on meal preparation, kitchen hygiene, and food storage while supporting smooth day-to-day kitchen operations. You will take ownership of cooking, food quality checks, and stock management, contributing to residents’ wellbeing through consistent and safe meal service.
Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook daily meals in accordance with standard menus, recipes, and dietary requirements
· Deliver food to assigned households and ensure timely meal service
· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, including daily and weekly cleaning
· Organize and manage dry and wet food storage areas
· Wash and clean soiled dishes, and keep prep and cooking areas tidy after use
· Conduct taste and quality checks for all cooked items during shifts
· Monitor stock levels, support ordering, and assist in food costing
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene requirements
Requirements
· Completed PSLE, GCE ‘N’/‘O’ Level, NITEC, or Diploma.
· Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
· Willing to work rotating shifts
· Experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, or restaurant service an advantage.
· Strong sense of responsibility, organisation, and attention to detail
