Job Summary
Join Atlas Marine’s Singapore team as a Service Engineer to install, commission, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot marine instrumentation and automation systems onboard vessels and at ports, ensuring safe and compliant maritime operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine automation and instrumentation systems onboard vessels at anchorage, ports, or dry docks to ensure operational reliability
- Perform calibration and testing of marine sensors, transmitters, and systems such as OWS 15ppm monitors, ODME, UTI gauges, gas detection, and pressure/temperature gauges, other I&C instruments to meet regulatory standards
- Install and commission marine instrumentation and automation systems onboard ships as required to support vessel functionality
- Prepare detailed service reports, calibration certificates, and technical documentation promptly after job completion to maintain accurate records
- Provide technical advice and remote troubleshooting support to ship crews and technical superintendents to resolve operational issues efficiently
- Comply strictly with maritime safety protocols, shipyard regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act guidelines, and company QHSE policies to ensure a safe working environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Marine Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in marine instrumentation, automation, or calibration services
- Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills to analyze technical issues and liaise with stakeholders
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) to enhance calibration and testing capabilities
