Solution Sales Specialist (Business Development) - SaaS

Our Client

Our client is a leading digital solutions provider dedicated to helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to increase their digital payment performance and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, engage, and acquire new merchant accounts through field sales, prospecting, and business development activities.
  • Conduct face-to-face visits to retail stores, F&B establishments, service providers, and SMEs to generate new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through cold calling, walk-in visits, referrals, networking, and market intelligence.
  • Understand merchants' business challenges and recommend suitable digital payment solutions that address their operational needs.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and solution presentations to prospective customers.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and successfully close new business opportunities.
  • Own the complete sales lifecycle, from lead generation and qualification to contract signing, merchant onboarding, and account activation.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Implementation, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new merchants.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline updates within the CRM system.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to uncover new business opportunities and strengthen market presence.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and merchant acquisition targets.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in field sales, business development, merchant acquisition, solution sales, or B2B sales is preferred.
  • Comfortable conducting outdoor field sales activities and engaging merchants through face-to-face meetings.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Highly self-driven, resilient, and motivated to achieve challenging sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong command of English; proficiency in additional languages or dialects is an advantage when engaging diverse merchant communities.
  • Experience with payment solutions, fintech, SaaS, or digital commerce solutions will be a strong advantage.
