ROBOTIC ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our surgical robotics team and help develop next-generation robotic systems for minimally invasive surgery. You will work closely with robotics engineers, software developers, mechanical engineers, and clinical experts to design and implement electrical systems that enable precise, safe, and intelligent robotic motion in the operating room.

This role is ideal for engineers passionate about robotics, electrical systems, real-time software, and medical technology.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Material Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in robotics, automation, or medical device development.
  • Good background understanding of power equipment market with experience of research and building industry and competitor information and insight as design requirement and input.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, or Eagle.
  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of servo motors, BLDC motors, stepper motors, and motor control systems.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
  • Proficiency in hardware debugging and system integration.
  • Understanding of electrical safety standards and design best practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical architectures for surgical robotic systems.
  • Develop schematics, PCB designs, and electrical wiring harnesses.
  • Select and integrate motors, servo drives, encoders, sensors, cameras, and power systems.
  • Design motor control, power distribution, safety circuits, and emergency stop systems.
  • Integrate embedded controllers, FPGA, microcontrollers, and industrial communication networks.
  • Develop electrical interfaces for robotic manipulators, end effectors, and imaging systems.
  • Perform system integration, debugging, troubleshooting, and verification testing.
  • Conduct EMI/EMC, electrical safety, and reliability testing.
  • Support hardware bring-up and prototype development.
  • Collaborate with software engineers on hardware-software integration and motion control.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, electrical drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and design reports.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk analysis, and verification and validation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable medical device regulations and quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in power management system.
  • Familiarity with robotic control systems and real-time operating systems.
  • Experience with system verification, validation, and regulatory documentation.
  • Experience with presale and after sale support activities for business development.
