About Trigger
Trigger Agency is a fast-growing integrated marketing agency specialising in retail marketing, shopper activation, experiential marketing, brand activations, celebrity partnerships, and integrated marketing campaigns.
We are looking for an experienced Events Director to lead and grow our Events Division. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity for someone passionate about creating impactful events while building a profitable business unit.
Role Overview
The Events Director will oversee the planning, business development, and execution of events under the Trigger Agency brand. This includes acquiring new clients, leading event operations, and building long-term partnerships with corporate and consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and secure new event opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, shopping malls, and brand owners.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations.
- Achieve agreed revenue and profit targets.
Event Management
Lead and oversee:
- Product launches
- Corporate events
- Roadshows
- Mall activations
- Festivals
- Community events
- Family day events
- Awards ceremonies
- Press conferences
- Conferences and seminars
- Brand experiential activations
Project Management
- Plan, manage, and execute events from concept to completion.
- Oversee event timelines, budgets, logistics, and manpower.
- Coordinate with venues, suppliers, production teams, and contractors.
- Ensure every event is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Team Leadership
- Lead project managers, event executives, promoters, and freelancers.
- Develop operational processes and event SOPs.
- Mentor and build a high-performing events team.
Collaboration
Work closely with Trigger’s other divisions to deliver integrated marketing campaigns, including:
- Retail activations
- Shopper marketing
- ATL campaigns
- Live commerce
- Celebrity and influencer engagements
- Design and production
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the events, marketing, or experiential industry.
- Proven experience managing large-scale events and client accounts.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and negotiation abilities.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a business division.
Compensation Structure
Profit Sharing
- 50% of the net profit from projects secured and managed by the Events Director.
Company Support
Trigger Agency will provide:
- Company branding and corporate identity.
- Proposal and quotation support.
- Finance, invoicing, and collections.
- Operational support where required.
- Access to Trigger’s existing network and resources.
Business Ownership
- All client contracts, invoices, and payments will be issued under Trigger Agency.
- All client relationships will be managed under the Trigger Agency brand.
