Job Summary
Supervise and manage daily food production operations to meet targets while ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food production and manufacturing operations to ensure timely completion of orders
- Plan and assign duties to production workers to achieve production targets efficiently
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and production efficiency to maintain company standards
- Ensure all food products are prepared according to company specifications and quality requirements
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout production processes
- Ensure compliance with SFA regulations, workplace safety requirements, and company procedures
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products to support continuous production
- Minimise food wastage and control production costs through effective resource management
- Inspect production equipment regularly and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Train and guide production workers on operating procedures, hygiene, and safety requirements to enhance team performance
- Prepare daily production records, stock reports, and other relevant documentation accurately
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and management teams to streamline production workflow
- Resolve production issues proactively to ensure orders are completed on schedule
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operational goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Relevant experience in food manufacturing, food processing, or production supervision
- Knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, and quality-control procedures
- Ability to supervise and manage a team of production workers
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant food hygiene or food safety certification
