Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and presented to hotel standards. The role leads room attendants and public area attendants, inspects work quality, manages schedules, supports training, and helps maintain a safe and efficient housekeeping operation

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily work of housekeeping staff

  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and standards are met

  • Assign duties, prepare shift schedules, and arrange coverage for absences

  • Train, coach, and motivate housekeeping team members

  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, guidance, and corrective action when needed

  • Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment

  • Maintain stock levels of linens, amenities, and housekeeping supplies

  • Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally

  • Coordinate with front office, engineering, and other departments on room status and maintenance issues

  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures

  • Assist with lost and found handling, deep cleaning projects, and room inventory control.
