Key Responsibilities
- Trading & Negotiation: Negotiate and secure competitive prices for marine fuel supply to optimize profitability.
- Market Analysis: Monitor global oil markets, shipping activities, and price movements to identify potential trading opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with shipping companies, ship owners and brokers.
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding the company’s market presence.
- Operational Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient fuel delivery, optimal port planning, and supply chain management.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage price, basis, and premium risks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, trading laws, and company policies.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed trading reports, contract documentation, and performance analysis.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in bunker trading or a similar role within the maritime or oil trading industry.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of marine fuel supply chains, oil markets – local and overseas trading.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret market trends, financial data, and risk factors.
- Negotiation & Communication: Excellent ability to negotiate contracts, manage stakeholders, and develop client relationships.
- Strategic Thinking: High commercial acumen with a proactive approach to identifying business growth opportunities.
- Team Player: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
