Senior Machinery Mechanic

Job Description:

• Performing preventive maintenance on earthmoving equipment including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and related machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues related to motors, engines, hydraulic pumps, hoses, filters, belts, bearings and other systems.
• Repair and replace defective components, including engines, motors, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic hoses, filters, belts, bearings, cylinders, and other mechanical systems.
• Carry out routine service including lubrication, oil changes, and system checks.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and ensure accurate repairs.
• Maintain and manage personal tools, including an up-to-date documented personal tools list, service records or work orders and reports.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to junior mechanics and workshop personnel where required.
• Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.
• Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time as the superior/ management deem fit

• Diploma or technical certification in mechanical or automotive technology.
• Min. 6 years of experience in mechanical or maintenance of earthmoving equipment.
• Good knowledge and experience of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
