The Mission

- The patient journey partner is directly accountable to deliver better outcomes for patients, their community, the ecosystem and the organization, faster to deliver the triple win.
- The PJP is an empowered leader and the local face of Roche. She or he partners closely with all stakeholders directly touching the patient journey (in a given therapeutic or disease area), gaining a deep understanding of their needs in order to connect Roche’s capabilities to co-create meaningful solutions.
- This role is locally embedded in the ecosystem, it is an integrated role, functionally agnostic, (i.e. it does not fit into the traditional concepts of Commercial/Sales or Medical Affairs)
- It has no profitability, sales objectives or incentives
The PJP is the business owner solving for end-to-end patient journey constraints. This is a senior level role within the affiliate, who has decision making authority to develop the local disease area strategy and to request resources of Roche (both within the affiliate and broader network) in order to have improved impact on the patient journey while delivering commercial success.
The Opportunity
- You act as the end-to-end business owner for your assigned disease area, directly accountable for developing local strategies that improve healthcare outcomes and optimize the patient journey.
- You steward our innovative portfolio through its entire lifecycle, leveraging clinical insights and commercial acumen to maximize sustainable patient reach across the local ecosystem.
- You serve as the trusted, primary point of contact for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs), and Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) to co-create meaningful solutions addressing gaps in the paitent journey and ecosystem.
- You lead and influence cross-functional, agile "swarm" teams without direct formal authority, aligning specialized experts toward a unified strategic direction.
- You leverage a deep understanding of the local healthcare environment, bringing external insights "outside-in" to shape our internal disease area strategies, decision-makings on directions and create the optimal end-to-end customer experience.
- You manage resource allocation and strategic prioritization, exercising the empowered authority to pull in specialized capabilities from local and global networks when required.
Who You Are
- Discover how our different ways of thinking power discovery, innovation, and breakthrough treatments for patients everywhere.
- You hold a University degree in Science, Business, Economics, or a related discipline (an MBA or advanced Life Science degree is highly preferred).
- You bring extensive experience leading cross-functional teams and formulating long-term strategies within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare environment.
- You possess a strong track record in product commercialization, market access, or customer experience excellence within the healthcare sector.
- You demonstrate deep scientific acumen, allowing you to engage credibly with clinical specialists and understand complex therapeutic landscapes.
- You have practical experience operating within agile methodologies, focusing on real-world outcomes rather than rigid processes.
- You are an exceptional communicator, fluent in English (proficiency in Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil is a valuable asset to best support the diverse local community).
