Human Resources Manager

1. HR Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement HR policies and strategies that support the hotel’s operational goals.
- Lead workforce planning and manpower budgeting in collaboration with department heads.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment for all hotel departments, ensuring timely hiring of qualified personnel.
- Partner with local agencies, job portals (e.g.,MyCareersFuture, JobsDB), and hospitality schools in Singapore.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a positive work environment by organizing sports, recreational and wellness activities to enhance employee engagement and morale.
- Manage and monitor medical expenses while ensuring all employees are adequately covered with appropriate insurance plans in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
4. Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate with training providers or in-house trainers.
- Ensure compliance with WSQ and SkillsFuture requirements where applicable.
5. Performance Management
- Implement performance appraisal systems and work with department heads to manage employee performance and development plans.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to line managers.
6. Compensation & Benefits
- Manage payroll in collaboration with finance, ensuring compliance with CPF, SDL, and other statutory deductions.
- Review and benchmark hotel compensation packages to remain competitive in the Singapore hospitality market.
7. HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate HR records, including leave, attendance, and personnel files.
- Ensure full compliance with MOM regulations, work pass requirements, PDPA, and other statutory bodies.
- Coordinate internal audits and HR documentation for hotel certifications (e.g., ISO).
8. Industrial Relations
- Manage all matters related to industrial relations, including collective bargaining with the union, resolving employee disputes, and facilitating conciliation processes with the union and the Ministry of Manpower.
- Lead disciplinary investigations through Boards of Inquiry and recommend appropriate actions to uphold staff discipline and organizational policies.
- Foster and maintain a constructive working relationship with union representatives. Engage regularly with union officials to address and resolve grievances promptly, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Play a key role in union negotiations concerning employment terms and conditions, and lead the renewal process of collective agreements in alignment with company objectives and statutory obligations.
Education & Work Experience
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources management, preferably within the Hospitality or service industry
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and MOM regulations
- Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal, communication abilities,with a good grasp of HR-related financial matters.
- Demonstrates high integrity, professionalism and the ability to perform well under pressure
