About the Company & Role
Our client is a leading A1 main contractor with an established track record in delivering some of Singapore's most significant infrastructure and transportation developments. They are seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead the execution and successful delivery of a major underground MRT station project in the western region of Singapore.
This is a strategic leadership appointment for a highly experienced construction professional with a proven history of managing large-scale underground rail and civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the planning, execution, and completion of a major underground MRT station project.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across construction, engineering, commercial, planning, and project controls functions.
- Ensure project delivery meets targets for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and client satisfaction.
- Drive project performance and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee contract administration, commercial management, risk mitigation, and claims management.
- Champion a strong safety culture and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Report project progress, risks, and key milestones to senior management.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore, will be highly preferred.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering major MRT, underground station, tunnelling, or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Candidates who have successfully completed at least one full MRT project cycle will be strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in a Project Director, Senior Project Manager, or equivalent leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery, commercial management, contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Familiarity with Singapore's construction regulations, authority requirements, and rail infrastructure environment will be advantageous.
