Assistant Contract Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration and management of main contracts and subcontracts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare, review and administer subcontract agreements, purchase orders and contract documentation.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and participate in procurement and tender evaluation exercises.
- Prepare progress claims, payment certificates, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Assist in the assessment and negotiation of contractual claims, extensions of time and dispute resolution matters.
- Review contractual correspondence and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants and subcontractors on contractual and commercial matters.
- Prepare monthly commercial reports, cost forecasts and management reports.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Maintain proper documentation and contract records in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and project contractual obligations.
- Perform any other commercial or contract-related duties assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in contract administration or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Experience in tunnelling projects in Singapore will be an advantage.
- Familiar with standard forms of construction contracts and Singapore construction practices.
- Good knowledge of contract administration, procurement, cost control and final account preparation.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work independently and as part of a project team in a fast-paced environment.
