RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is for Office of Postgraduate Professional Programmes (OPGPP).
  • Admission Counselling
    • Respond to enquiries from prospective students and admitted candidates, assist with information sessions, and support conversion follow-up activities.
    • Provide high standard of service and customer experience to prospective candidates, addressing their queries promptly and effectively.
  • Yield Management
    • Assist with yield activities to support offer acceptance and enrolment for assigned programmes.
    • Support the execution of engagement activities (e.g. conversion events, follow-up communications, student sharing sessions) to strengthen admitted candidates' commitment.
    • Compile and update offer-to-accept and accept-to-enrol conversion data for review by the team.
  • Application and Scholarship Services
    • Assist with application processing, including document checks, credential verification, and interview coordination.
    • Provide applicants with timely and accurate information on scholarships and financial aid schemes.
    • Follow established admissions policies, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Student Pass Management
    • Assist with the application process for student passes for assigned PGP programmes.
    • Address routine administrative issues and queries related to student pass applications, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • System, Data and Admin Support
    • Perform data entry, maintain records, and assist in compiling data for admissions operations.
    • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Admissions and Marketing & Recruitment teams.
  • Cross Functional Work
    • Follow admissions processes and requirements relevant to assigned programmes and regions.
    • Support selection and conversion activities in line with admissions standards and guidance from the team.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and programme offices on admissions matters, escalating complex issues to the team as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline is required.
  • Prior internship or work experience in admissions, student services, customer service, or programme administration will be an advantage.
  • Exposure to admissions processes, applicant-facing roles, or student services will be an advantage.
  • Prior exposure to scholarship administration, financial aid processing, or academic administration will be an asset.
  • Knowledge:
    • Basic familiarity with or keen interest in admissions processes, student services, and service quality standards in a higher education context.
    • Exposure to or willingness to learn CRM systems and student information systems; comfortable working with structured data and digital tools.
    • Awareness of or interest in cross-cultural communication and the international student landscape.
    • Basic proficiency in data organisation and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, PowerBI) to support admissions tracking and operations.
  • Skills:
    • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a service-oriented disposition and the ability to engage professionally with prospective students and internal stakeholders.
    • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured work environment.
    • Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret straightforward data and escalate issues or anomalies appropriately.
    • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment in handling sensitive applicant information.
    • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced and cyclical work environment.
    • Willingness to work outside regular hours for events or recruitment activities when required.
