We are looking for a passionate Freelance Knitting & Crochet Teacher to join our growing team. If you enjoy inspiring young learners and have strong technical skills in fibre arts, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Freelance Knitting & Crochet Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, hands-on classes for children teenagers, and adults. You will guide students through fundamental techniques while encouraging creativity, confidence, and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging knitting and crochet classes for students aged approximately 7–18 and adults.

• Teach both beginner and intermediate techniques in a clear, encouraging, and age-appropriate manner.

• Develop creative projects that build students' technical skills and artistic confidence.

• Prepare lesson plans and recommend materials for each course.

• Create a safe, positive, and inspiring classroom environment.

• Provide individual guidance and constructive feedback to students.

• Maintain classroom materials and ensure tools are used safely.

• Collaborate with the Albus team to continuously improve the curriculum and student experience.

Requirements

• Strong practical experience in knitting and crochet.

• Previous teaching experience with children or teenagers is preferred.

• Patient, enthusiastic, and confident working with young learners.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to teach both fundamental techniques and more creative textile projects.

• Comfortable teaching small group classes.

• Available to teach on weekdays after school and/or weekends.

• Candidates with a background in textile design, fashion design, fibre arts, or art education are highly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fine Arts, or a related creative discipline.

• Experience developing creative workshops or educational programmes.

• Portfolio of knitting, crochet, or textile work.
