Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in financial reporting, IFRS, and month-end close? Join a dynamic regional finance team where you'll take ownership of financial closing, consolidation, audit coordination, and process improvements across multiple international entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the month-end and year-end financial closing, consolidation, and audit processes for multiple regional entities.
- Coordinate accounting activities with internal stakeholders and external shared service providers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Partner closely with Finance, Treasury, and Tax teams to support business and statutory reporting requirements.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, subledger reconciliations, accruals, and deferrals.
- Support payroll and pension accounting activities.
- Coordinate IFRS and local GAAP reporting requirements with external accounting partners where applicable.
- Liaise with external auditors and support the statutory audit process from planning through completion.
- Analyse financial results and provide insights on key balance sheet and profit & loss variances to management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process simplification, automation, and operational efficiency within the finance function.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or a related discipline with a strong understanding of IFRS.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, closing, consolidation, and audit.
- Hands-on knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, accruals, and statutory accounting requirements.
- Experience working with shared service centres or external accounting service providers will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player who is comfortable working with regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
