Field Service Engineer – Scientific & Life-Science Instruments

Our client is looking for a hands-on and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support advanced scientific and life-science instruments across clinical, research, diagnostic, and laboratory environments in Singapore.
This role is ideal for someone with strong field service experience who enjoys troubleshooting complex laboratory systems, working directly with customers, and supporting technologies such as flow cytometry, liquid handling automation, and qPCR platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain scientific and life-science instruments at customer sites.
- Support platforms such as flow cytometry systems, liquid handling automation, qPCR instruments, and related laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, fluidics, optics, lasers, robotics, sensors, and assay-related issues.
- Respond quickly to customer service requests and help minimize instrument downtime.
- Work closely with application specialists,technical support, sales, and product teams to resolve customer issues.
- Provide basic user guidance and maintain clearservice documentation after each visit.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–4 years of field service, technical support,maintenance, or service engineering experience with scientific, clinical,diagnostic, or life-science instruments.
- Hands-on exposure to flow cytometry, liquid handling automation, qPCR, molecular diagnostics, or laboratory automation platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting capability across mechanical, electrical, optical, fluidic, software, and instrument control systems.
- Comfortable working in clinical, diagnostic, hospital, research, pharmaceutical, or regulated laboratory environments.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills andthe ability to respond quickly to urgent service situations.
- Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biotechnology,Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Background in biomedical science, molecularbiology, immunology, cell biology, clinical laboratory science, or a relatedlife-science discipline.
- Experience supporting customers where bothinstrument hardware and assay or application-level troubleshooting arerequired.
- Prior experience working with regulatedclinical, diagnostic, hospital, pharmaceutical, or reference laboratorycustomers.
