Otis is seeking for a Field & Operation Engineer to be a part of their team in Singapore.
The incumbent will supervise the installation of Otis lifts, escalators and dumbwaiters for assigned projects from commencement to completion including handover to Service.
1. Safety
a. Ensure WWJSSS pertaining to construction activities are being adhered to.
2. Quality
a. Implements and maintains all ISO 9000 procedures.
b. Regular check to installation quality
c. Coordinate with main contractor, other subcontractors and owner for other works that affects lift installation quality
d. Arranges for electrical power to be available for testing of lifts.
e. Check the installation to be in line with the construction drawing and technical specifications
3. Supervision of all installation works
a. Ascertain the actual location of building and study details of the lifts/lift hoist -ways/escalators.
b. Liaises with Main Contractor or Building Owner on delivery and storage of equipment and materials.
c. Ensures that the site structural dimensions correspond with that in the shop drawings.
d. Conducts regular site inspections on quality and safety issues.
e. Monitors progress of construction and plan schedule for installation.
f. Supervise all sub-contractors work at site. Ensure sub-contractors fulfil their work scope in a timely manner without defects.
4. Supervision of all testing& commissioning works
a. Lead a team of Adjusters to perform functional and safety testing of lift and elevator systems.
b. Ensure compliance with local codes, international standards (e.g: EN81, ISO) and manufacturer specifications.
c. To deal with manufacturer & vendor in terms of product & installation quality issue.
d. To prepare technical reports &attend customer meeting to address any comments towards the performance of the unit.
e. To provide training materials & training for representatives from client towards system operation.
5. People Management
a. Supervises and controls the discipline, morale and performance of subcontractor, installation team and testing team.
1. Diploma or Higher Nitec in an Engineering discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years’ similar experiences as an Installation Supervisor/Foreman or equivalent.
3. Have prior supervisory experiences to manage a team of installers or testers and subcontractors.
4. Have strong technical knowledge of installation works of lifts and escalators products.
5. Have knowledge of ISO procedures.
6. Team player and results oriented.
