Contract Lab Analyst, Water #HJO

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform manual laboratory testing on water, wastewater, and crude samples
• Handle and process wastewater samples, including sour water samples containing elevated levels of H₂S and ammonia, in accordance with safety procedures.
• Ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to laboratory safety protocols.
• Manage day-to-day laboratory operations independently, including inventory control, chemical management, purchasing, and stock monitoring.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, housekeeping standards, and ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained.
• Develop, review, and maintain laboratory SOPs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
• Monitor laboratory consumables and coordinate replenishment activities to support uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure all laboratory users adhere to established safety standards and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate testing records, documentation, and reports.
• Perform other laboratory-related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in water, wastewater, or environmental testing is preferred.
• Able to adapt to operational demands and varying sample volumes.
